The Hakha police station hold about 70 in only 20 people capacity

Following the coup by the Military, the Hakha police station which can hold only 20 people, detained 69 people and 9 of them are girls.

 

Though the police station in Hakha Township has a capacity of about 20 people in police custody, the detainees are living in cramped quarters currently and most of them are charged under Section 505 A and B.

 

Some parents are worried because some of the detainees are not in good health.

 

"Now it is possible to send food and medicine. So, it is convenient. I told them that I wanted him to visit the clinic. They send him to treat by a military doctor. If this situation continues, I'm a little worried”, an unnamed parent told Chin World Media.

 

At present, soldiers have been not only raiding houses and arresting but also arresting passers-by inwards in Hakha Township, according to locals.

 

Due to arrested and tortured by the military council, a 60 years old man and a middle-aged man has died and the case happens in May that the family was notified after the body was cremated by the military.
