Female student at Yenanchaung University arrested

The spokesman for the Yenanchaung University Students' Union told Mizzima that Ma Su Pyae Aung, a 19-year-old female university student living in Myoma North Ward, Yenanchaung Township in Magway region, was arrested by plainclothes police on 24 August.

He said, " Her family said she was arrested by plainclothes police in the morning. They parked their car at the top of the road and entered the house and arrested her.”

The arrest of Ma Su Pyae Aung, a first-year chemistry student, was also posted on the Yenanchaung Students' Union social media site. It is reported that Ma Su Pyae Aung was arrested and taken to Magway, Mizzima is still trying to confirm it.
