Yangon Region Election Commission Chairman Kyi Myint said that they would form election consultation and coordination committees in Yangon Region at different levels of region, district and township for settling disputes arising among political parties during the period of 2020 general elections.

“Similarly, we formed these consultation and coordination committees at the time of 2015 general elections for peacefully settling disputes arising among political parties because of various reasons so that we could resolve any disputes in 2015 thank to these committees,” Kyi Myint said.

These committees will consist of local elders, eminent and influential local residents, and other people from all walks of life totalling about 16 persons and they were formed at the time of 2015 general elections too.
