A Clash between KIA and Military junta in Naung Kwan Village

The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) has attacked and fired at the Military junta’s camp (Khamaya/LIB 438) in the Naung Kwan and Ma Kwal Village which is in the western Myothit Kong Law, Moe Mauk Township in Kachin state.

The clash took place around 7:30 PM on May 11, according to a local resident.

"They fired until about 9 PM. I heard both the artillery shelling and the guns. It is not about the seizure of the outpost. As the military is growing in numbers, it was almost like firing. The exact number of injuries is unknown, ”he said.

To attack Alaw Bum Mountain back, the Military Junta troops increase about 2,000 forces in Dot Phone Yan, Myothit, Kong Law and Nwan Lant, therefore, KIA is attacking them, he analyzed.

On May 11, there was a clash in the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) Battalion 27, in Mansi Township as well as the airstrikes with the jets to the Alaw Bum.
