7 urban guerilla members arrested in Yangon

Military media reported seven members of people’s defence forces in Khayan township, Yangon, were arrested, and their arms and ammunition were confiscated.

After one of them was arrested near Pauktaw village in Thanlyin Township on 19 April, three persons were captured at Mudita Housing in Mayangone Township, and the remaining three were in Dawbon Township.

Although the military media reported that arms and ammunition were also confiscated together with them, Than Lwin Times has not confirmed yet.

Khayan PDF confirmed on 22 April that their six members were arrested, but did not mention confiscation of their arms and weapons.

This guerilla group carried out an attack on Khayan township’s immigration office on the eve of water festival on 14 April.
