Khine Nwe Oo — Voters from Seven Mile/Shwe Pyi Soe Village Tract in Tanintharyi Region’s Kawthoung Township are worried over lack of sufficient time as there is only one polling station, according to U Zaw Min Htike who is running as an independent candidate in this constituency.

“When the people from the commission gave advanced votes, there were problems like not having enough envelopes or ballots or not knowing where to stamp the seal so there won’t be enough time for people to vote as there is only one polling station,” he said.

Although the election is being held today, many people still don’t have voter registration cards. There have been worries over the election’s results due to the imbalance between the polling stations and number of voters.

According to U Zaw Min Htike, over 3,000 people have been lining up to vote at Seven Mile/Shwe Pyi Soe Village Tract.
