In Mon State, there were more than 5,100 people infected with Covid in 2022. More than 80 confirmed covid patients died, according to the Mon State Department of Public Health and Treatment.

Among the more than 5,100 people infected with covid, more than 4,500 were the result of  domestic infections. More than 600 people contracted the virus following a visit to other countries, reported the  Mon State Department of Public Health and Treatment.

According to one  official from the Mon State Department, there are patients who died  directly because of the virus.  There are also patients who died while receiving treatment at hospitals for other medical conditions.

"Some patients come to the hospital because of a car accident. When the patient was examined, he was found to be Covid Positive. Then he died. There are patients who died directly from Covid, and there are related deaths as well, they said.
