A resident of Hlaing Township said: "The explosion was extremely loud, and the buildings also shook. On Baho Road, a military vehicle was burned. We heard that Junta soldiers were injured. That's why they fired [their weapons] in the area of the incident and a person was hit by one of their bullets. The injured junta soldiers were taken away in an ambulance. People living near the incident site were also detained by Junta troops.”

According to a local news source the junta vehicle was on patrol when it was hit by the explosion that also injured two junta soldiers.
