CNF issues 34th Anniversary Statement

The country is in the worst situation it has been since the coup a year ago and Socioeconomic conditions are deteriorating and leading to a failed state, according to a Chin National Front (CNF) statement issued on 20 March, the 34th anniversary of its formation.

“Today is the 34th anniversary of when the Chin National Front was started with the purpose of establishing the Chin National Union and a federal democracy with full guarantees of equality and self-determination.

“The CNF bows down to its comrades and the people who gave their lives during the revolution.

“The Chin National Front is not fighting for our races, religion, or ideology. We will fight hand in hand with individuals following the path of the people's revolution that involves the entire Union Nationalities and organizations with the same political stance.

“For the reconstruction of Chin State, the local defense forces must work with their allies to increase military momentum, be balanced, and attack the junta military council and local administration, Security and the rule of law will be implemented step by step.”

In addition, the statement urged the people to participate in the revolution in any way they can and to avoid co-operation with the junta Military Council.
