4,188 new COVID-19 cases reported in the past 24 hours

The number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar increased to 212,545 on Thursday after 4,188 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports, Xinhua reported.

A total of 165 new deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 4,346 in the country as of Thursday, the release said.

According to the ministry's release, a total of 153,609 patients have been discharged from the hospitals and over 2.92 million samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far.
