Rihkhawdar–Laitui Road reopens as restrictions lifted

The Chinland Defence Force-Hualngoram (CDF-Hualngoram) has announced that security-related restrictions on the road connecting Rihkhawdar Town in Falam Township and Laitui Village in Tedim Township, Chin State, have been lifted, allowing the route to resume normal operations.

Regular road use resumed on June 2, with travel permitted during the previously designated hours of 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Chin resistance group said.

CDF-Hualngoram also expressed gratitude to the public for their compliance during the period of restricted road access implemented for security reasons.

Following the junta’s recapture of Falam Town, which has direct road links to Rihkhawdar near the India border and Tonzang Town in Tedim Township, CDF-Hualngoram and allied resistance forces temporarily restricted road access to strengthen defensive preparations and ensure Rihkhawdar's security.

Chinland Council coalition forces, including CDF-Hualngoram, captured Rihkhawdar on November 14, 2023, and CDF-Hualngoram has administered it since.
