Junta launches twin airstrikes on Falam Township village, destroying homes

Tlangzar Village on the Falam–Hakha Road in Falam Township, Chin State, was struck by two junta airstrikes on April 18, damaging multiple homes, locals reported.

At around 3:30 a.m., Tlangzar Village and the nearby Laiva hydroelectric power plant were bombed, and the village was hit by a second airstrike around noon the same day.

“We’ve received reports that the village’s school and many homes were destroyed in the airstrikes on Tlangzar Village, but the villagers are safe. We don’t yet know the full extent of the damage,” a source told Chin World.

Local media reported that 6 houses in Tlangzar Village were damaged in the early morning airstrike, while a school and nearby homes were damaged in a second strike around noon.

The junta carried out the airstrike despite no active fighting taking place in Tlangzar Village and the surrounding areas.
