A youth training program, assisted by China, was launched in Myanmar's western Rakhine State on Monday, Xinhua reported.

Jointly organized by China's Yunnan provincial government and the China International Trust and Investment Corporation (CITIC) Consortium, the program was introduced to about 90 trainees in Kyaukphyu town.

The training program aims to provide practical experience for local trainees to apply them in respective working fields as well as to promote regional development, said Chief Minister U Nyi Pu of Rakhine state.
