An unidentified group arrested a police officer and 4 departmental staff in Bhamouk

Due to the homemade bomb attack at 7:30 pm on July 18 in Pinpon Thayat Kone village, Bhamouk Township, it injured a woman in the village, according to the locals.

"This morning we went to see that they had fired homemade bomb. It injured a girl. She is now in Bhamouk Hospital. I don't know if she hit it with a bomb or a rock. It injured her neck under the jaw. She was at home and used her phone. The car was in front of their house. The group that drove the car ran into their house,” a local told Shanni Voice.

After the Township Administrative Officer, police, and the staff from the Department of Forest stopped near Thayatkone Village because of the flat tire, an unknown group that followed them by motorcycle were fired with a homemade bomb, according to locals.

A police report said that the Deputy Administrative Officer, A Deputy Police Officer U Than Soe, and some staff who were in the car have been arrested.

"The case happened since they were at Maninminkone. I do not know what the problems are. I saw when they returned. When the car was a flat tire, they were caught at Thayatkone”, according to an elder.

On the morning of July 18, eight people including the Township Administrative Officer, police, and staff from the Department of Mining and Department of Forest went with two vehicles to the fields that have expired licenses near Narnant Htunt Tract.

When they returned from there, an unknown group with the motorcycle followed them and fired guns and it injured a staff’s chest in the left.
