Maung Sar Ga — The military junta's Air Force targeted an internally displaced persons camp near Kyauk Ka Lay village in Kyaukphyu Township, Rakhine State, during the night, killing two women and injuring three others.
The deceased women have been identified as Daw Ma San Shwe, aged 54, from Pyate Village, and Daw Khin San Oo, aged 40, from Min Thak Taung Village in Kyaukphyu Township.
The injured internally displaced persons (IDPs) have been identified as U Maung Tin Win, U Khin Maung Win, and Daw Aung Myat Nu, who is in her 90s.
On January 17, at approximately 12:05 a.m., the junta Air Force bombed the camp located near the village using a jet fighter.
According to Ko Naing Lin Htun, the chairman of the Zin Chaung Youth Charity Association, the damage resulted from four suicide drones and over ten heavy weapons launched by the navy.
On the previous day, at approximately 12:05 p.m., the air force conducted two strikes with a jet fighter targeting the location where the refugees were residing. Subsequently, four unmanned drones equipped with explosive devices were launched. Subsequently, the navy, stationed near Kyaukalay Beach, fired more than ten times. As a consequence, two civilian women lost their lives, one woman sustained injuries, and two men were stabbed. Nine additional cows have been killed," he stated.
The dead and injured were also hit by the jet fighter. Among those injured, an elderly woman, Daw Aung Myat Nu, is reported to be in serious condition.
The individuals who are injured are presently undergoing urgent medical care. On November 17, 2025, at approximately 12:35 p. m., the Military Commission Air Force conducted an attack on the village of Kyaukkalay with a pair of 500-pound explosives.
