Three Brotherhood Alliance: Only Ouster of Coup Regime Can Bring Peace and Stability

The Three Brotherhood Alliance declared on February 19th that genuine peace and stability in Myanmar can only be achieved, once the Junta’s leadership is no longer in power.

The 3 Brothers Alliance emphasized that since 2021, the Myanmar military has been the most brutal fascist army in the ASEAN community, committing terrible war crimes, and in 2024, it continues to gear up to maintain this infamous reputation.

They emphasized the widespread suffering endured by civilians across the country as a result of the Junta's actions, which includes targeting civilians, and causing harm, violence, killings, and psychological trauma.

“The tide of revolution is continuing to rise as resistance warfare strengthens across the nation.” the Alliance stressed in their statement.

It also reiterated that the top military and political priority of the Alliance is the overthrow of the military dictatorship, which is also the deepest aspiration of the entire Myanmar populace.

The Three Brotherhood Alliance's 'Operation 1027' in northern Shan State has been temporarily halted due to the ceasefire agreement facilitated by Chinese intervention; however, the Arakan Army (AA), a member of the Alliance, has been persistently launching successful attacks and achieving victories against the Junta forces in Rakhine State.

The Alliance also declared its confidence that 'Operation 1027' has for the most part achieved, the goals and outcomes desired by the people of Myanmar during its nearly four-month duration.

The Alliance has accused the Military Council of continuing to abuse innocent civilians in the cities and villages still under its control, arresting them on false charges, and violating human rights on a daily basis, demonstrating a vindictive response to a series of military setbacks not only in Rakhine State but also across the entire country.
