The Three Brotherhood Alliance has captured two significant military installations on January 7th . The Junta’s No. 16 Rear Tactical Operation Command Base in Hsenwi Township
and their hill-based tactical command post in Kutkai Township, both located in northern Shan State have both been captured by the alliance of armies committed to oust the dictatorship.
The Three Brotherhood seized control of the headquarters of the No. 16 Rear Tactical Operation Command Base, established as a Light Infantry Combat Battalion. The Junta’s military forces comprises: 20 primary Tactical Operation Commands, each consisting of three operation commands, along with a combined total of 10 Infantry and Light Infantry Battalions.
The Alliance successfully took control of the Military Council's operation command in Kutkai at approximately 11:00 PM on January 7th. The Three Brotherhood Alliance has declared its
intention to eventually disclose the specifics of the strategies employed in capturing the two bases. However they have refrained from addressing speculations suggesting the complete takeover of Kutkai Township, following the seizure of the Kutkai Operation Command.
Situated on the Muse-Mandalay Union Road, a major China-Myanmar trade route, Hsenwi and Kutkai are pivotal towns, with Hsenwi plain serves as the primary rice-growing area in northern Shan State.
As of now, the Three Brotherhood Alliance has successfully seized control of towns in the Kokang region located on the east side of the Muse-Mandalay Union Road, including Kunlong, Chinshwehaw, Konkyan, Laukkai, Mankan (Monekoe), and Kyukoke (Pan Hseng). The Alliance has also extended its influence to Namhkam, Namtu, Monglon, Mongngawt, Namhsan, and Mantong towns on the west side of the Union Road.
The Arakan Army (AA), a member of the same Alliance ( based in Rahine State) ,collaborated with various resistance factions to launch attacks on Military Council installations situated in Paletwa Township in Chin State and Kyauktaw Township in Rakhine State. Both townships are located along the Kalandan River waterway, intentionally developed as a key trade route between India and Myanmar in the far-western region of Myanmar.
