Tatmadaw, Mon State Hluttaw provide COVID-19 medical prevention supplies to NMSP

The News Mon State Party (NMSP)’s General Secretary, Nai Jor Yae, and his team received protective equipment and other COVID-19 related medical items from the Brig-Gen Ko Ko Maung, Commander of the Southeast Command.

The handover of supplies from the Tatmadaw to the NMSP took place at the Southeast Command quarters on May 16th, according to news published by the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.

The donation included 200 personal protective equipment (PPE) outfits , 5,000 surgical masks, 200 bottles of hand sanitizer gel, 3,000 surgical gloves, 100 goggles and 2 cartons of disinfectants.

The Mon State Hluttaw also provided Covid-19 medical prevention supplies. Dr. Min Soe Lin, a State Hluttaw representative from Ye Township Constituency (1), donated supplies over to Nai Htaw Rot, Chair of the Dawei District of New Mon State Party, on the same day.

The Mon State Hluttaw [parliament] donation also included PPE (medical), PPE (normal), hand gel, masks, gloves, and thermometers.

There are 18 health center checkpoints in the NMSP controlled area that are monitoring the health of travellers.

The NMSP is one of the ethnic armed groups that signed a Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) with the government on February 13, 2018.
