Tatmadaw meets with SSPP

A Tatmadaw negotiation team met with representatives from Shan State Progress Party (SSPP/SSA) at Paunglaung Guest House in Nay Pyi Taw Command yesterday, state media reported.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters relating to increasing negotiation, reducing armed conflicts and clashes in Northern Shan State and participation in the current peace process.

Present at the meeting were Chairman of the Tatmadaw negotiation team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, senior officers from Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office, Eastern Central Command commander, SSPP/SSA Vice Chairman Sao Khun Hsai.
