Security tightened, roads blocked in Mudon after attack on police station

Military regime has tightened security and blocked some roads in Mudon Township after its police station was attacked, said locals.

On November 19, a drone attack on the Mudon police station resulted in an explosion in the teashop, injuring a 15-year-old girl, Ma Thin Thazin Phoo, a police family member.

After that incident, the military council has placed blocks around the police station, surrounded it with barbed wire, and closed   since 20 November.

Furthermore, the military council is blocking and inspecting the entrances and exits to Mudon and around Khun Hna Khwa mountain and is firing artillery shells throughout day and night, locals confirmed to Than Lwin Times.

The junta shelling forced residents from the foot of Khun Hna Khwa mountain to move to Mudon, with some fleeing at night.

Concerns are growing among Mudon residents as a result of junta shelling and the possible attack on the town by the revolutionary forces.

On the same day as the Mudon police station was attacked, a drone attack occurred at the Township Administrative Department in Kyaikmaraw, Mon State, but no casualties were reported.
