Second Chance For Students Who Missed Exams Owing to Insecurity and Conflict

On March 19, the Department of Myanmar Examinations announced plans to assist students unable to sit for the 2024 matriculation exam due to armed conflicts, by offering a special programme  at designated exam centres across regions and states.

The department also stated that the date and exam centre locations for the second chance exam, will be announced at a later time.

The 2024 matriculation exam commenced on March 11. According to sources within the Chin State Education Office, out of 1723 applicants for the exam in Chin State, only 401 managed to attend, leaving 1322 absent.
