Revolutionary Journey Must Continue to the End, states NMSP-AD Leader

The revolutionary journey is challenging and arduous, but it must be pursued to the very end without halting, said the New Mon State Party—Anti-Dictatorship (NMSP-AD).

"If you don't want to join this revolution, then don't. But if you do, you must see it through to the very end. This is not child's play. During this period of fighting for national liberation, armed revolution is the most difficult and brutal task. When we take on this challenging work, we will face many hardships. Together, we must find solutions and overcome these difficulties. I do not want us to stop halfway due to the challenges. Instead, I want us to strive to overcome them," said Nai Banyar Lel, NMSP-AD's Deputy Leader (1).

He made this statement during the graduation ceremony for the 3rd basic military training batch of NMSP-AD, held on November 27 in a liberated area.

Despite the numerous challenges faced during the revolutionary period, he emphasized the need to continue fighting until the military council is overthrown and the goal is achieved.

NMSP-AD leader Nai Zeya also commented: "No matter how much hardship, suffering, or destruction we face, we must strive relentlessly toward our goals, rights, and the emergence of our nation. Our country has been under military rule for over 70 years, and since 2021, we have entered the most difficult era. Although the revolutionary period has dragged on, I urge everyone to continue with perseverance, revolutionary spirit, and endurance."

The NMSP-AD was formed on February 14 after breaking away from the New Mon State Party (NMSP) and declared its intent to collaborate with revolutionary forces to fight against the military dictatorship.

The NMSP-AD stated that they are fighting against the military council alongside other revolutionary groups and Spring Revolution forces to establish a federal union that ensures equality and full self-determination for ethnic nationalities while defending against the military's oppression.

Following this declaration, the NMSP-AD has collaborated with other armed revolutionary groups to launch military operations not only in Mon State but also in Kayin State and Tanintharyi Region, conducting consecutive attacks against the military council forces.
