Resistance forces scrap plan for bomb explosion in Yangon

A local defence force, the Burma Final Revolution Armed Forces, changed their plan to carry out a bomb explosion near AYA Bank branch on Ahlone Thit Taw Road in Yangon on 4 February morning, so as not to injure nearby vendors and other civilians.

A member of the BFRAF said that they planned the bomb explosion in front of the bank near the Thit Taw bus-stop in Ahlone Township, Yangon.

He added that the bomb was highly explosive.

"We scraped the plan not to harm the nearby people. So, no one was hurt. We will never try to hit the people,” said a member of the BFRAF.

He said the AYA Bank did not exempt CDM employees from the interest on their loan, and demanded a cash fine for overdue repayment. Moreover, the bank asked the loan from the CDM customers, in addition to posting the names of customers online and making frequent phone calls to both the customers and their relatives.

The group said it would continue to take action against the AYA Bank officials if they did not stop such practices which are deemed to support the military regime.

The group also carried out bomb explosion at the corner of Naung Yoe street, near Wet Su bus stop, Thaketa Township on February 1.
