Soe Thu Aung — The President reiterated striving towards the emergence of a constitution which would be suitable with the nation as it is crucial and vital for the country.

President Win Myint was speaking on the occasion of Union Day which fell on February 12. The 73rd-anniversary celebration was held in Yangon at Mahabandoola Square.

“All ethnic nationalities and entire people must continue their efforts for the emergence of a democratic federal union constitution with democratic norms in building our democratic federal union which will be compliant with the pragmatic situation and future aspirations of our country,” He said in his message sent to Union Day celebrations.

The President said that all ethnic nationalities would be able to enjoy the essence of democracy namely justice, liberty and equality and would be able to build a democratic federal union as democracy developed and flourishing.
