People's Defence Force Attack Electrical Tower Supplying Power To Military Ammunition Factories

The Minbu-Saku Township People's Defence Force has damaged a strategic electrical tower supplying almost half a dozen Burma Army ammunition factories in townships in Magwe Region.

According to a local source, the base of the tower was damaged by explosives near Kong Tha last Saturday.

According to information from an army news source, the tower supplies electricity to at least five weapons factories in Ngape and Minbu townships. One of them, Factory 14, was built in 1999 under Nat Yay Kan mountain between Ngape town and Padan village and employs 400 soldiers. On top of the mountain are large cooling fans that supply air to the underground factory.
