One miner was killed and three others were injured in a landslide on 6 November at a Phakant mining site belonging to the Aung Hein Min company, state media reported.

According to a report, the landslide occurred on Wednesday at the site of a previous mudslide reported on 28 July.  In the earlier incident, a 500-feet high cliff along the mine had collapsed into a lake below, killing 19 people, including security guards, company staff, and miners.
