NLD office in Dawei district bombed

A resident said that the National League for Democracy (NLD) 's Dawei district office in Kayatpyin ward, Dawei township, Tanintharyi region was bombed on October 21.

Due to the time of the explosion when many people were asleep and the presence of soldiers near the site of the blast, locals said the military may have been behind the systematic planning for the collapse of the office building.

A resident living in that ward said that Pyu Saw Htee and uniformed police have been busy near the NLD office over the past three days.

“They have been waiting in ambush near the house of Pyu Saw Htee leader Aung Sein and the NLD office,” said a resident.
