Nine released by AA, one Indian citizen died of heart attack

Nine people arrested by the Arakan Army (AA) were released this morning while Chin State MP U Hwai Tin is still in detention, sources told Mizzima.

Moreover, one Indian citizen, 60 years old, died of an heart attack.

Four Indian citizens, two translators and two speedboat drivers were released at Kyauktaw in Rakhine State, western Myanmar.

Chin State Energy and Municipal Minister Soe Htet confirmed the news and said “They were released this morning. They will go to Sittwe from Kyauktaw and then will go to Yangon. The dead body will also be brought to Yangon.”

Five India citizens, MP U Hwai Tin, two translators and two speedboat drivers were traveling from Paletwa, Chin State to neighbouring Kyauktaw in Rakhine State yesterday but were arrested by the AA.
