New direct flight links Mandalay to China’s Mangshi

A new direct flight linking the border city of Mangshi, in southwest China’s Yunnan Province to Mandalay of Myanmar will be launched at the end of this month, Xinhua reports.

Starting on Jan. 31, the Boeing 737-700 flight will take place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The flight, run by Ruili Airlines, takes about two hours.

According to the report, an increasing number of Chinese people travel to Myanmar via the Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture which administers Mangshi.
