U Linn Kyaw, The State Election Commission Officer, said that, according to the voter lists, there would be almost 3000 eligible voters with disabilities in the would-come election of 2020.

U Linn Kyaw said “according to voter lists, there will be 2873 voters with disabilities or may be more than that in entire state. 1700 are physical disabilities, 416 are visual disable persons, and 710 are hearing impaired persons and 640 are intellectual disable persons. The lists are made according to the primary voter lists and there could be more than that. The scrutiny is required to make continuous.”

 “Just from 2017 by election, we took a deep consideration for the voters with disabilities but we could not think inclusively in 2015 with regard to voters with disabilities” Said U Linn Kyaw, The State Election Commission Officer. “We just started from by- election. We have surely collected what sorts of eligible voters with disabilities were in every polling station”. Furthermore, we would invite person with disability organizations from towns or we would go and ask in deep how many disable persons are in and where their addresses are. We have developed plans for disable persons to actively participate in election like this way.

The Election Commission Officer, U Linn Kyaw said “with regard to disable persons, we will make the condition where they can cast vote on their own like the situation in 2017. Disable people who comes to cast vote would inspire other disable persons with having a thought that a disable person could do. We can make it widely in 2020”. According to the primary voter lists, the numbers of eligible voters in Chin State have gone up 60000 than the numbers of 2015.
