A total of 292 civilians were killed in Kayah State in the past 2 years of military coup in Myanmar.

The report of Karenni Civil Society Network said that 335 people were injured and 334 persons were arrested in this period.

It also said that civilians have experienced air strikes and human rights violation, and the junta regime should bear responsibilities for these brutal acts, according to rights activists.

The military has arrested and tortured civilians in revenge for the considerable losses at their side.

A right activist in Kayah said to Than Lwin Times that the regime is committing war crimes through these acts.

Out of 300,000 population in Kayah State, over 200,000 people who fled from their homes need humanitarian assistance as they are suffering human right violation.

A body of beheaded local man was found by the local resistance forces in Demoso Township recently. Moreover, the bodies of 2 civilians have not been identified in the areas where the military carried out offensive attacks since 22 January.  

The military troops are launching heavy artillery attacks nearly every day from Lawpita, Loikaw and Ngwetaung to the residential areas and IDP camps.

The Assistance Association   for Political Prisoners said nearly 3,000 civilians were killed after the military coup in Myanmar.
