Military Council Arrests Doctor and Four Nurses from Agape Hospital in Hakha Township

The Military Council troops arrested a doctor and four nurses from Agape Hospital in Hakha Township, Chin State, according to local residents.

On May 21, at midnight, Military Council troops raided Agape Hospital located in Zay Haung Ward, Hakha Township. During the raid, they abducted Doctor Sicilia, Nurses Henny, Sianlun, Hniang Sung, and J Mawi.

A resident of Hakha said, "At Agape Hospital, the nurses are getting arrested during nighttime. I'm not exactly sure why, but it seems like they want to exchange them with the previously arrested office adults. This is because they did something similar in the past."

Locals speculate that the Military Council arrested a doctor and four nurses from Agape Hospital in Hakha Township, potentially holding them as hostages in exchange for individuals affiliated with the military who were captured by the local defense forces.

According to sources close to them, it has been reported that a doctor and four nurses from Agape Hospital are currently being detained at the Hakha police station.

Hakha residents have reported that on April 2, three individuals, including two local doctors employed at Agape Hospital, were arrested at their residences by Military Council troops. They were subsequently released in mid-April as part of an exchange involving department officials who had been detained by the local defense forces.

On the night of May 21, Military Council troops conducted checks of overnight guest lists in several wards of Hakha Township, resulting in the arrest of approximately 20 individuals, according to residents familiar with the incident.
