MDF offers thanks to AA for care and friendliness beyond alliances

Maraland Administrative Council/Maraland Defense Force (MTC/MDF) in Chin State of western Myanmar  issued a statement on Tuesday expressing their gratitude to the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA) for care and friendliness beyond alliances.

AA chief General Twan Myat Naing and MTC/MDF officials had a recent friendly meeting, photos of which were released on Monday.

"We are grateful to the ULA/AA for the care and friendship that has been extended beyond alliance in the past. We look forward to build a stronger partnership based on trust and understanding in the future," said MTC/MDF officials.

Two sides had the discussion on 9 September 2025, but the photographs were released on 9 February due to security reasons.

The MTC/MDF, one of the Chin Brotherhood (CB) consisting of six Chin-based revolutionary armed forces, formed the military alliance with the ULA/AA.

They also mentioned that the AA occasionally provides necessary assistance in the military training of MTC/MDF and they remain grateful for the gesture. It was disclosed in a military training ceremony held on 11 June 2025.

Earlier in December  Kyats two million, a large number of bags and 20 copies of a poetry book penned by  AA deputy chief of staff Dr Nyo Tun Aung were sent to MTC/MDF soldiers who lost their limbs during the fighting.

The  ULA/AA also sent a number of bulls as Christmas gifts to MTC/MDF and CDF (Palatwa) officials.
