Man killed at home in shelling of junta troops

A man in eastern Demoso Township, Kayah State, was killed when a heavy shelling dropped over his home on 29 January.

The 35-year-old man lived in an IDP camp before he went back to his home.

A large number of junta troops raided villages in Demoso Township in previous days, and carried out artillery attacks there. They also made heavy weapon attacks almost every day from their military camp in Lawpita dam to the residential areas of villages

Four civilians including two children were wounded as a heavy shelling dropped over an IDP cam in Demoso Township on 22 January this year.
