Junta Paragliders Bomb Myaing Township Village

Six villagers were injured when two junta paragliders dropped bombs on Thannutaw Village in Myaing Township, Magway Region on 15 June 2025, according to We Love Myaing, a local news outlet.

At approximately 2:15 pm on 15 June, two junta paragliders dropped bombs near the school in Thannutaw Village, in the west of Myaing Township.

A Myaing Township resident said: “The junta carried out paraglider attacks even though there were no active clashes nearby. Lately, they've been doing these attacks frequently in Myaing Township. These places are pretty far from where the junta’s military columns are usually operating.”

Two men and four women who live in Thannutaw Village were injured in the attack. The attack also killed two buffaloes and destroyed two houses and a grain storage, according to a report by We Love Myaing.

Following the paraglider attack on Thannutaw Village, later that day, 15 June, at around 7:30 pm also in Myaing Township, the junta launched two airstrikes on Nyaungkharshey Hamlet, close to Thazi Village.
