Junta-appointed administrator shot dead in Ye Township

U Min Thein Oo, the junta-appointed ward administrator, was shot dead at Zeyarthiri ward in Mon State’s Ye Township around 10 am on October 5, the local sources told Than Lwin Times.

The regime administrator, U Min Thein Oo, was assassinated by the Mon State Revolutionary Organization (MSRO) in a tea shop near his home.

U Min Thein Oo died on the way to Ye Township Public Hospital after suffering three gunshot wounds to the ribs and pubis.

Ko Agga, a representative of MSRO, claimed that U Min Thein Oo was a military informant and was cooperating with regime forces to threaten people.

The deceased U Min Thein Oo had been the ward administrator since 2010 and was notorious for following the orders of the military council after the military coup.

On October 4, Ko Aung Myint, who was a junta informant as well as a three-digit banker, was shot dead by the Mon State Revolutionary Organization (MSRO).
