State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi said that elimination of corruption was her government’s objective.

She was speaking at the opening ceremony of Thikir reservoir and small-scale hydropower station in Htantlang Township, Chin State held on January 20.

“We have the opportunity to eliminate corruption in the country because of democracy and also it is one of the objectives of our government,” She said.

She added if elimination of corruption in the country could be achieved, elimination of theft of the country’s resources and public money could be done.

Aung San Suu Kyi also held public rallies in Falam and Tiddim towns.
