CRPH member, Phyu Phyu Thin, promises to fight until the military dictatorship falls

Phyu Phyu Thin, a member of the exiled parliament, the Committee Representing the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), promised on 5 March that she would fight until the fall of the military dictatorship.

She took an oath of allegiance to the revolution on her social media page on the morning of 5 March.

"I feel very sorry for the Generation-Z people who gave their lives for the revolution against the military dictatorship, the People Defense Force (PDF) members who gave their lives for this revolution and for the deaths of children and women, as well as for the innocent people who were shot and whose homes were set on fire. We will fight until the dictator falls and victory comes, and I will try to meet with you all soon, when we are victorious", she posted on her social media account.

Phyu Phyu Thin was a member of parliament under the NLD-led government. She is currently a member of the Committee Representing the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH).

Her 80-year-old mother from South Okkalapa Township was evicted from her home by the Military Council on 18 March 2021.

Phyu Phyu Thin is also a volunteer who founded the NLD AIDS Centre in 2000 for children with HIV.

Ko Yarzar, who was caring for HIV-positive children at the centre, was arrested on 2 March by members of the junta Military Council.

The shelter houses 90 HIV-positive children and twenty breast-feeding mothers.
