A couple from Kan Thit Ywa village in Khin Oo Township, Shwebo District in Sagaing region was shot dead by members of the Military on the evening of August 21.

35-year Maung Aye, and 36-year Nwe Nwe Aye were were killed in the incident at Tada Lane on the road from Khin Oo township to Kan Thar Yar and a three-year girl survived according to a relative.
