U Thun Zaw, the general secretary (1) of United Nationalities Federal Council (UNFC) suggested that military group should be flexible on Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) in order to make the way for other armed groups, those not yet sign to NCA.

“We can accomplish our mission if military have open-minded on NCA for the un-signatory group. But now they are not flexible and very rigid on NCA. What I mean is that if NCA cannot be revised or make adjustment we should find out the way to skip it; for that we have 8 points of agreement already. From this points we should make way to agreement,” he told to Khonumthung News on the 2nd day of ‘Union Peace Conference: 21st Century Pang Long’ at Naypyidaw on 2nd September 2016.

“We trust in our leader and state adviser Daw Aung San Su Kyi, and in UNFC. The rest armed group will also sign on NCA, I hope,” said Pi Siami, member of People parliament in Kalay-Kabaw (Sagain region).

In this regards, Pu Lalramlawma, central judge and central committee member of Chin National Front (CNF), the NCA signatory, said, “I can’t predict on the future of other armed group well. But it should not be delay, and I hope they will join soon. It has to build trust between us first, then it will be successes,” to Khonumthung News.
