The Chin State Election Commission banned filming inside Hakha polling stations during Myanmar's 8 Novemebr General Election according to Khonumthung TV producer, Ko Tuidim.

He said: “It is written: ‘No photos Allowed' infront of most voting booths in Hakha, but I don’t know about in other townships and villages, and I don’t know the reason why.”

In Hakha township, candidates from the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP), the National League for Democracy (NLD), the Chin National Democratic Party (CNDP), the Chin League for Democracy (CLD) and the Zomi Centre for Democracy (ZCD) contested the parliamentary elections.
