Children living in refugee camps in the western part of Demos, Kayah State, are suffering from diarrhea diseases, the volunteers who are assisting refugees told Than Lwin Times.

The children from the refugee camp started suffering from diarrheal diseases in the first week of October, and at least 50 children under the age of two have been infected.

According to a doctor at the military evacuation camp, at least six to ten children come to the clinic every day because of the contaminated food and drinking water, and poor environmental conditions.

Both children and adults suffer from diarrhea and need medical supplies.

In addition, there is a shortage of food in the refugee camps in the western part of Di Mosso, and food donors are finding it difficult to come to the camps because of Mobye fighting.

While the people fleeing the war are suffering from food shortages and infectious diseases, civilians are being killed by the army's deliberate firing of heavy weapons.

There are more than 100,000 IDPs on the west side of Demoso, and it is one of the largest IDP camps in Karenni State.
