Child injured in junta airstrikes in Tedim Township

A child was injured as the junta bombed three villages in Tedim Township, Chin State on August 25.

On August 25, around 1:30 pm, a junta fighter jet bombed Mwalbin and Zangzawl villages, followed by another air raid on Heilei Village at approximately 4:30 pm. A child from Zangzawl Village was injured in the leg during the attacks.

“Mwalbin and Zangzawl are neighboring villages. Seven bombs were dropped on them in total, and five of them exploded. We don’t yet know the full extent of the damage,” a local source told Chin World.

There are unconfirmed reports of two minor injuries from the airstrike on Heilei Village.

“We’ve heard that two people suffered minor injuries in Heilei Village. We’re still trying to get more information to confirm the details,” said a Tedim resident.

On August 16, the People’s Defence Force – Zoland, a Chin resistance group in Tedim Township, arrested the head of Mwalbin Village administration, accusing him of acting as an informer for the junta. Nine days later, the junta carried out airstrikes.
