Checkpoint blown up and one Tatmadaw killed

The checkpoint at the Thilawa Development Junction, Thanlyin township Yangon Region was blown up and one soldier killed and two seriously injured, according to the Thanlyin People's Defence Force (TLPDF).

The TLPDF detonated a remote-controlled mine. A local resident said that the Military arrested two youths near the scene of the blast.

Locals said the military has increased security in Thanlyin town and closed the road in front of Aung Chan Thar (2) Market and Aung Chan Thar Ward Office.
