CDF Declares Acceleration of Offensives in Response to Military’s Attacks on Civilians

The Chinland Defense Force-Matupi has declared to escalate their actions in response to the loss of civilian lives, including children, resulting from the military’s airstrikes .

The CDF-Matupi has stated its intention to intensify military operations and to persist in the fight until the military dictatorship is dismantled.

During the evening of November 15, two Military Council jet fighters targeted Vuilu village in Matupi Township, resulting in injuries to a total of 11 individuals, including 8 children, 1 school teacher who participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), and 2 civilians.

Furthermore, the statement also reports that 4 civilians sustained injuries, and a total of 22 buildings, including 1 church and 2 schools, were damaged and demolished during the incident.

Located 35 miles from the Military Council troops' base, Vuilu village, which was targeted by airstrikes, is a peaceful community with over 60 houses where residents live harmoniously.

CDF-Matupi expressed strong opposition to the Military Council's airstrikes in a village where there was no CDF-Matupi camp and no ongoing military activity.

Following the coup d'état in Myanmar, Chin State has become a stronghold of armed resistance, with over 100 civilians have been killed due to artillery shells, airstrikes, and ground offensives carried out by the Military Council troops, according to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners.
