U Aung Lain, the state MP from CNLD questioned if the state government acknowledged the existence of the State Hluttaw or not.
U Aung Lian, the MP of Matupi constituency said “the state government asked MPs to support with open-minded the matter of supplement budget worth 17.28 million which would be submitted to Union. They told us to have a look. The MPs also support the government if the budget allocation in their constituency is exceeded. That is not the right way. The state government does not perceive the presence of MPs. The speaker of the State Hluttaw needs to monitor this matter. If the speaker fails do well, I would like to question where the existence of MPs in Chin State is.”
“In terms of budget, after the proposal has been approved and are delivered by Chin State Government to State Parliament just to accept. Financial documents are put forward in a much closed time to the session. There is no time to look,” the former deputy speaker told in Chin world interview.
“In this regard, the spoke person of Chin State Government, U Soe Htet explained “with regard to budget, the government drafted and approved because there was time limitation to submit to the Union Government.” U Aung Lain from Matupi constituency proposed three issues to discuss but the proposals were suspended by the speaker.
The issues raised by U Aung Lain from Matupi constituency were related to mineral water in 80 villages, using string bridges between a village to a village without accessing motor way and education but the proposal were suspended.
U Aung Lain Said “I have informed via Viber because I have been in aboard. Mineral water in 80 villages was added into the question. The issue was not even a full page. The next one was related to education and they gave excuse that the response would take more than six minutes to the questions including the names of all villages I asked.
The person in charge of proposals and questions of MPs from Chin State Parliament told Chin World Media that under the rule and regulation of Hluwttaw the act of notification over the lumpy sentence is to send but because of the MPs’ trip to aboard, further detail discussion was not advanced and the proposal was suspended.
