ARSA terrorists ambush police vehicle

A vehicle carrying border guard police was ambushed by ARSA terrorists in Maungtaw, Rakhine State, on 16 January, and six police were injured in the attack, State media reported.

The car carrying border guard police from No.2 Border Guard Police Headquarters was attacked by some 10 ARSA terrorists with small arms on 16 January near a bridge in Watkyein Village in Maungtaw Township.

The Myanmar Police Force reviewed the situation, noting that ARSA terrorists were active in the western part of the Mayu Mountain range, while Arakan Army insurgents were located in the eastern part of the mountain range dividing the areas.
