Some important ancient artifacts were found on the bank of Kaladan river  in Kyauk Taw township of  Arakan State.

The discovery was made on 5 July when the flood water washed away the river banks.

A local resident named U Maung Hla Shwe informed that the villagers found the pieces of an ancient pagoda on the slide of river bank near to the estate of U Maung Tha Hla in Apaukwa village under Kyauk Taw township.

It is yet to be explored the period of the pagoda and also the rulers who erected the temple.
