Administrator of Min Tae Ekin ward shot dead

An administrator appointed by the military for Min Tae Ekin Ward, Aungmyaythazan Township, Mandalay, was shot dead on the evening of July 27.

Two men opened fire on the administrator’s residence near 86th and 12th Streets, claiming to take a letter of recommendation.

"I heard that he was shot three times and died. Now Military Council troops are busy in that area," said a resident.

Min Tae Ekin Ward in Aungmyaythazan Township was an area where military council troops set fire to a person alive in April, and the ward administration office was frequently set on fire.
