The Arakan Army (AA) launched a successful assault on four strategic outposts guarding the Kapasa (16) defense factory near Mathon Village in Bago Region's Padaung Township.

According to reports and photos from Arakan Princess Media (APM), the AA seized more than 20 bodies of junta soldiers along with a significant cache of weapons.

The engagement began at 5:45 p.m. on May 4 and persisted through May 7.

The targeted outposts were manned by the 10th Infantry Regiment, specifically battalions 363, 364, 366, and 369.

Reports confirm that the bodies recovered from the scene belonged to soldiers from these specific units.

As of May 8, the Arakan Army continues to pursue fleeing junta forces and is conducting "clearing operations" to eliminate remaining enemy positions in the area.
